Name Drops
Sprinklings from my name folio.

Name for a Startup Consultancy
Client: Bloody Old Men
Agency: Albert Dali
Logic behind the name: Bloody Old Men is a collective of consultants who are supposedly 'over the hill' because of their age. The self deprecating name is the collective's way of showing the middle finger to their detractors.
Logo Design by: KA Shanmugavel.
4/18/20
Name for a furnishing & decor brand
Name for an affordable curtain brand
2/4/20
Name for an AI-driven Sales Ops Platform
Client: P360
Agency: Albert Dali
Logic behind the name: The platform was developed specifically for the Life Sciences market to give a holistic helicopter view of all aspects of pharma sales. Since it uses Artificial intelligence, it offered us scope to do a word play with the term 'Bird's Eye'.

Name for an Investment Advisory
9/16/19
Name for an art gallery
8/13/19
Name for a Sports Academy
7/9/19
Name for a Synthetic Wood
Client: Prabitha Polymers
Agency: Albert Dali
Logic behind the name: Xylo- is a Latin prefix meaning'wood'. And Xyloid means 'Wood-like'. The term sat well for a brand that wished to build doors and window frames using Wood Plastic Composites (WPC). WPC seemed too boring. And Synthetic Wood felt too generic. We wanted something that felt a bit differentiated. And a bit high tech. Xyloid seemed a perfect fit.
5/27/19
Name for an IoT button
Client: Swittons.com
Agency: Albert Dali
Logic behind the name: We were debating creating a coined name that contains the letters IoT in any order. That's when we hit upon Swittons. Swittons is about ordering SWIftly using 1-click buTTONs. Swittons is easy on the mouth and is a new-to-the-world name that's trademarkable anywhere.

Name for a Brand Strategy Consultancy
2/13/19
Name for a Private Label

Name for a logistics app
Client: Boonbox
Agency: Albert Dali
Logic behind the name: Kojo is derived from Khojo, the Hindi word for tracking & searching. Since our app's purpose was to help the client track ecommerce shipments, it seemed to fit like a glove.
Logo Design by: KN Balakrishnan
Logo Logic: The search icon inside a location pointer to navigate the maze of logistics.

4/25/17
Name for a Builder's Loyalty Program
10/22/16
Name for an innovative startup
Client: Wannawill Inventorium
Agency: Albert Dali
Logo designer: KA Shanmuga Vel
Logic behind the name: Wannawill is the bridge that links 'Wanna make it happen' to 'Will make it happen'. Wannawill is also a phonetic cousin of the Tamil word 'Vaanavil' which means Rainbow. Since the inventions at Wannawill will be spanning all categories, the rainbow allusion works well. Also, we handpicked the word 'Inventorium' to describe the business of the company.

A promo for Frizz Da Salon.
Client: Frizz da Salon
Agency: 1pointsize
Logo designer: Remy Francois Sabah
Logic behind the name: Around World Cancer Day, Frizz da Salon wished to do a hair donation promo to make wigs for cancer victims who lose hair due to Chemotherapy. We saw potential in the 'can' in Cancer. We used it to weave a message-oriented name.

For the Aadi Sale of Forum Mall
Client: The Forum Vijaya Mall
Agency: 1pointsize
Creative Director: Sharad Haksar

Logic behind the name: Yumaadi is the Tamil equivalent of 'Oh my god!'. Also Yumaadi could mean a delicious Aadi (the fourth month as per the Tamil Calendar and also the month of off-season sales).

For India's First Yoga Studio Chain
Client: Root Wellness.
Ad Agency: 1pointsize.
Creative Director: Sharad Haksar.

Logic behind the name: 136.1 Hz is the frequency of Om and also happens to be the frequency of the Earth Year (time the earth takes to go around the sun). Om is a recurring chant in yoga and so 136.1 made a perfect fit as we were on the look out for a intriguing global name with as many layers as yoga.
